Hawks advance to medal round

    The University of Iowa baseball team that is representing the United States at the World University Games in Taiwan, earned a trip to the medal round despite an 11-5 loss to Japan on Wednesday.    The Hawkeyes punched their ticket to the medal round with a 13-3 victory over Russia Tuesday in a game that former New Hampton High School star Cole McDonald pitched 1 2/3 innings of hitless and scoreless relief.
