Four Chickasaw girls honored on all-NEIC squads

Three of the four New Hampton girls that were selected to the 2016-17 Northeast Iowa Conference teams will graduate this spring, but that doesn’t include the lone Chickasaw first team selection.  Isabel Leichtman is just a junior and earned first team honors, while Lexi Rasmussen and Darian Wegner were listed on the second team and Emma Nicolaisen was named honorable mention.  “Extremely happy for all four of these ladies,” said New Hampton head coach Matt Schult. “It's one thing for me to know they deserve to be all-conference, but when other conference coaches see it, it should make them especially proud of their accomplishments.”  Leichtman led the NH girls with 14.7 points per game during the overall season and scored a total of 337 points, both of which ranked third in the NEIC.  More on the story may be found in the March 10 Tribune.
