Financing ins, outs, time line discussed

The Chickasaw County 911 Board heard an update on the communication tower project after the Emergency Management Commission adjourned from a joint session last Tuesday [Jan. 8].On Monday, [Jan. 7] financial consultant Travis Squires with Piper Jaffray presented options for 10, seven and five-year bond financing scenarios for the E911 Communication Project, assuming the maximum allowed borrowing amount the $175,000 committed by the 911 Board.Squires said interest rates were in a “very favorable position, about the same as last summer.”— For more on this story, see the Jan. 18 New Hampton Tribune.
