Chickasaws to take on Crestwood in next round of regionals

Four runs scored by New Hampton in the second inning of the regional first round against Osage Tuesday would be more than enough to move the Chickasaw softball team on.
But they added a few more runs anyway, defeating the Green Devils 7-2.
 
Bailey Knowlton knocked out a 2-RBI triple in the second inning, while Natalie Hoey added an RBI double and Kerigan Tenge also tripled in the inning.
 
In the third, Savannah Anderson doubled in two runs. After the third inning, New Hampton would not get any more hits, but still cruised to the win.
 
The Chickasaws will play Crestwood in Cresco on Friday at 7 p.m.
