Chickasaw signs to play golf at UNI

Carter Stochl likes the challenges ahead of him both on and off the golf course, and it’s why he’s heading to the University of Northern Iowa next year.  On the golf course, the New Hampton senior will get a chance to play Division I golf. Off the course, he’ll be enrolled in an outstanding biology program that he hopes will help him reach his goal of becoming an orthopedic surgeon.  “I probably could have gone to any of the [Division III] Iowa Conference schools,” Stochl said Tuesday afternoon after he signed his letter of intent to attend UNI, “but to have a chance to play at the Division I level, it’s something I’ve always wanted to do.”  More on the story may be found in the March 10 Tribune.
