Celebrating one billion gallons!

Kevin Howes thanks his lucky stars every day for the Homeland Energy Solutions plant.And it’s not just the fact that he’s the plant manager for the sprawling ethanol plant located just off Highway 24 between New Hampton and Lawler.“I was born and raised in Iowa, and went to Iowa State to get a chemical engineering degree,” he said. “Without ethanol, I and a lot of people like myself would had to move out of state.
