Busy Trojans brave conditions at New Hampton
It was the third meet the Trojan cross country team ran in a week's time. Four runners braved the rain at the New Hampton cross country invitational Thursday and, despite the conditions, all had decent times. Some spots were slippery at the New Hampton Golf and Country Club. "You wear your spikes, that helps keep your footing, but you also have to be cautious," said coach Sarah Bakula. "Our kids ran very well and some had personal records." Jordon Snyder was eighth of 68 runners in the varsity boys race. His time of 17:43 was the best of the season to date, and is inching closer to his career record of 17:23 he ran at the state qualifying meet last year.
More on the meet may be found in the Oct. 10 Tribune.
