Beulah A. (Schoenfeld) Quisling, 100

Beulah A. (Schoenfeld) Quisling, age 100 of New Hampton, IA died Saturday, May 4, 2019, at New Hampton Nursing and Rehab.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, MAY 24, 2019, at Holy Family Parish, New Hampton, with Rev. Brian Dellaert celebrating the Mass. Private family interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Nashua.
Friends may greet the family an hour prior to the service at the church on Friday, MAY 24, 2019. Beulah A. (Schoenfeld) Quisling was born October 24, 1918, in rural New Hampton, IA, the daughter of Roy and Elizabeth (Igel) Graves. She received her education at a rural school near New Hampton. As a young girl, Beulah's mother passed away. She had to grow up very quickly and take responsibility in caring for her family. 
On July 27, 1941, in Charles City, Iowa, Beulah married Harold Schoenfeld. To this union, four children were born; Connie, Mary, Richard, and Terry. The couple farmed in both Chickasaw and Butler Counties and while helping on the farm Beulah also worked at Dralle Department Store in Greene. 
In 1967, Beulah and Harold moved to New Hampton and purchased the Miller Hotel. The couple enjoyed operating the hotel and hosted many large events. Beulah also enjoyed cooking for both New Hampton Lions and Rotary Clubs. Due to Harold's poor health, they decided to sell "The Miller". Harold passed away on May 4, 1971. Following his death, Beulah moved to Ionia and enjoyed cooking at the Sara Lee cafeteria. 
Beulah later met Al Quisling and the couple were married July 14, 1974, in Osage and lived in Mason City. Al passed away on May 6, 1981. She remained in Mason City and later met Eilef (Erik) Erickson who became a dear friend, to her and her entire family. The couple enjoyed each others company. They loved fishing, playing cards and spending time with Beulah's family. Following Erik's passing, she moved back to an apartment in The Miller where she remained for several years. 
Beulah loved cooking and baking from a very young age. She also enjoyed playing cards and crocheting. She will be dearly missed by her family. 
Survivors include four children, Connie (Richard) Booth of Mesa, Arizona, Mary (Merlyn) Whiteside of Georgetown Texas, Rich (Becky) Schoenfeld of New Hampton, IA and Terry (Karol) Schoenfeld of St. Louis, MO; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild. 
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; three brothers, Joe Kruth, Eve Kruth and Charles Graves; two sisters, Jean Smith and Ellen Grove.
